One of the best bits about my job I love is getting to travel the world to shop. To make sure we are offering the best fashion trends and to gain inspiration for new styles we visit the most fashionable cities around the world.
Tokyo is one of my favourite places to go. It is everything you read about and more.
When Ruth and I first arrive we head straight to the famous crossing roads of Shibuya. Watching the huge crowds of people swarm across the roads to get to the shops is brilliant to see and one of the best places to spot new trends.
If it’s too much to face all the crowds and the blaring music of Shibuya then my favourite shopping area to visit is Harajuku.

Laforet, a large store in Harajuku is probably the best place to start. Its 13 floors are packed with fashion boutiques and some of the worlds best dressed mannequins.
Seeing how they layer up their clothes is an art form.

Jelly shoes and wellies where seen everywhere and they looked fab in neon colours. I love this zip up pair. So many of the girls were wearing these with knee socks and pretty floral dresses and they looked great.
Large face prints, oversized scarves with pom poms, 70’s retro and paint slashed jeans where just some of the key trends we saw. I can’t wait to get started on the new range of Love Label.
Some of the A/W08 styles have been influenced by the trends we have seen in Tokyo, such as these PU Treggin’s which are the best.
